Ok- I'll admit- I wasn't too good at keeping up with putting the projects on the blog as we did them this week- it was a little crazy around here with trying to wrap stuff up before school let out today! I did however, want to give you the update of the final few projects we did as a class.
Project 8: We brought in toiletry items for a local organization, Christian Associates, who helps people in need. (check out their website if you would like to know more about them :) We gathered quite a few items and I know that they are very much appreciated by those who are without! :) Thanks for your giving :)
Project 9: We made a kindness collage for a friend by cutting positive words out of magazines and putting them all together on some brightly colored construction paper.
Project 10: We took over the lunchroom duty for the teachers who always have to do that. We also cleaned the floors of any food and trash before the next group of students came in.
Project 11: Students made cards for their bus drivers. (sometimes they can be the ones left out! not this year :)
Project 12: Give a candy cane to someone you care about.
Thanks for your help and cooperation :) I truly think that this has helped the kids to keep some of their focus on doing for others and to remind them that Christmas is the time for giving and helping others :) Ms. S
